The Local Government Association commissioned Learning and Work Institute to develop ‘how to’ guides for local government focused on key topics for labour market recovery and renewal:
- Youth employment
- Retraining
- Long-term unemployment
- Basic skills
- Economic shocks
The final guides set out the key evidence for each topic and describe steps to take when looking to tackle each issues in a local area. They are also hosted by the Local Government Association.
